GDSI case study on urban transport systems

StefanoTransport studies and practice define Black and Blue (B&B) spots as those points in the road infrastructure characterized by, respectively, recurrent accidents and disruptive weather conditions. Such events not only create problems to traffic but also cause relevant economic and social losses. The transport case study will apply the GDSI framework and selected tools to assess different strategies to tackle these problems on selected spots in the Danish road network. In particular, different infrastructural options will be assessed and compared to find the optimal solution by taking into consideration the mitigation of risk and sustainability issues in a decision management context.
